The Path aims to
1. review the pathophysiology (also in relation to concepts of functional anatomy and evaluation of the “classics” and “new” markers of organ failure) of the GI tract of dogs and cats.
2. introduce and deepen the new acquisitions regarding microbiome and metabolome.
3. provide the participants with a practical framework on which to build the basis of the endoscopy and therapy.
4. review the immunopathology of the GI system in order to better manage from a clinical, therapeutic and nutritional point of view all the problems related to acute and chronic stimulation of GALT.
5. provide new knowledge about the “omics” disciplines and their correct use in the management of the clinical cases.
6. provide insights to understand the complex interaction between gut, microbiota, GALT, liver and pancreas.
7. deepen the food, nutraceutical and pharmacological knowledge useful for the treatment of pathologies of the G.I system.
8. through clinical cases, measure learners progress and the final level of learning achieved.
